Customisation and high volumes

We go the distance every day. But the trick is to do it as efficiently as possible. That is why we invest heavily in our professional production line, which is an extension of our professionals who stay close to you, the customer. We automate wherever possible and use traditional customised craftsmanship where necessary.

Sustainability

Sustainable construction is the future. That is why we think in terms of sustainable solutions that do as little damage as possible to the environment. Our ambition is reflected in every aspect of our work. For example, our fully electric fleet of transport vehicles.

History

Founding of PMC Staalbouw BV

2003

The founding of PMC Staalbouw began with the acquisition of a small steel company. Patrick Michels, who had previously worked as a contractor, took over management of the company. He relied on the help of his wife Suzan. Together they laid the foundations for an organisation that now comprises 65 people.

Relocation to Deurne, Jan Tooropstraat

2005

In 2005, we bid farewell to Asten and relocated to Jan Tooropstraat in Deurne. Here, we moved into a commercial space spanning 1,000 m², which we expanded to 1,250 m² a year later.

Purchase of first lorry

2007

There can only ever be one first. For us, that was the Volvo FH400: our very first lorry. An investment that helped us to grow even further.

Relocation to the Binderen-Zuid industrial estate

2010

PMC Staalbouw had outgrown its location. For that reason, we moved to a larger industrial hall in Binderen-Zuid. The hall extends over 10,000 m², which we would eventually expand by 1,200 m².

Purchase of first tower crane

2011

A powerful addition to our assembly team. The purchase of our first tower crane meant that we were no longer dependent on external parties and could respond quickly and flexibly to our customers.

First construction with roof and wall cladding

2013

This project in the equestrian sector consisted of a steel construction and the installation of concrete walls, roof and wall cladding, doors and stable doors. Although it did not cover the entire building, it included a large part of it.

Founding of PMC Projects BV

2014

Over the years, we have made a name for ourselves in equestrian sports with the construction of prestigious riding schools and riding halls. We transferred this line of business to PMC Projects, a trusted brand recognised by leading horse farms throughout the Netherlands and abroad.

Steel supply and assembly in Australia

2018

We enjoy pushing our boundaries, and in this case even all the way to Australia. We supplied steel for our customer AEM and sent a team of our own professionals to do the assembly work. They ensured the project went smoothly.

First project involving 1,000 tonnes of steel

2019

A major milestone. This industrial hall was our first project where we used more than 1,000 tonnes of steel. We were proud of the size as well as the professional execution of the steel construction.

Founding of Durafer BV

2023

Sustainable practices are the future, but for us they are already standard practice. Under the Durafer banner, we connect steel structures using bolted joints instead of welds. This process is sustainable and clean, fulfilling all the requirements of the environmental checklist.

Expansion of our fleet of machines

2024

The sheet laser and profile laser were added to our versatile fleet of machines. The sheet laser allows us to produce sheet metal efficiently, while the profile laser allows us to customise tubes and profiles with hole patterns. These lightning-fast machines have given us complete control in creating our own shapes and connections.

Partnerships built to last

Construction isn’t something we can do alone. To carry out our steel projects, we rely on our partners, who are an extension of our processes.

Durafer

Durafer originated with PMC Staalbouw and was born out of the desire to build extremely sustainable work processes. With Durafer, our aim is a clean world and a clean work environment for the new generation of technicians. Taking all aspects of BREEAM into full account. From demountable work to circular materials and electric mobility.

PMC Projects

PMC’s expertise and years of experience with horse farms led to the launch of PMC Projects in 2013. Under this banner, we lay the foundations for horse stables, riding arenas and entire equestrian centres. PMC Projects takes care of the entire construction process, from sketches to completion – and all in-house. PMC Staalbouw or Durafer provides the necessary steel construction.
