During the planning phase, PMC Projects, Michel Hendrix and his architect worked closely together to fine-tune all the details. This gave the client a clear idea of what to expect from PMC and how the work would be executed.
The building is constructed mainly of brickwork. PMC Projects supplied concrete panels in a few areas for cost-efficiency reasons. The steel structure was finished in RAL 9002, a soft shade of white that creates a fresh, lightweight look. The columns for the horse stables were galvanised to protect them from ammonia.
The wall cladding consisted of insulated panels with a steel rabat profile in black matt with a wood grain texture.
Sandwich panels were chosen for the roof cladding, with the roof panels of the riding arena featuring a corrugated profile and a roof tile profile for the roof panels of the central corridor and the stables. PMC Projects also supplied the zinc gutters and sliding doors made of sandwich panels.
The new equestrian facilities at Stal Hendrix is substantial in size and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The facilities include a 30 x 60 metre indoor riding arena, 24 horse stables, 10 washing and grooming areas, 2 tack rooms, a roof for the walker, a reception area and an office.
